In Europe, screening at the airport is far less aggressive than in Canada or the US.
One of the things I never liked about returning to Canada was the grilling they gave. In Europe, once you arrive, no one is askin gyou where you are going, where you will be staying, what did you do prior to arriving, etc ... The only screeningis before you get on teh plane - pass your carry on luggage through the x-ray machine, walk through a metal detector, get randomly stopped for hand inspection of you rcarry-on, but at no time is there any attempt to intimidate.
Oh my gosh, that is hilarious!! I work as an Executive Assistant, and my boss travels all around the world - frequently. We just secured a Nexus pass for him to get in and out of Canada more easily - right before they tightened the restrictions even further. Wow, what a great laugh to add to my Saturday!!
Yes, there is advertising. The web hosting costs $5.95 per month and the domain name $10.45 per year (plus applicable taxes). Hopefully, the ads will, over the course of a year, pay for the cost of the website.

So far, border crossing seems a lot more relaxed over here in Europe.
