phineas-and-ferb-screen-grab The latest Phineas and Ferb episodes have been decidedly unsatisfying (not just me, the kids as well).

The show is about two stepbrothers who build amazing things every day, much to the consternation of their older sister who tries to “bust” the boys every day, but fails.

Ever since Phineas and Ferb’s Christmas Vacation, I have find the series lacks the magic that originally characterized it. Originally, Phineas and Ferb were two, reasonably ordinary, imaginative boys whose larger than life dreams and ideas spilled out from was practically realizable into full blown realizations of their imagination. Pure magical fantasy.

Most recently, they are two extraordinarily talented boys who dream and build the most unbelievable things because they can. The innocence of its origins has been lost. It was much more enjoyable when the side consequence of their efforts was their imagination wrought large, instead of being a deliberate consequence of their actions.

I still enjoy the older episodes, though.

Its use here is believed to fall under the notion of “Fair Use” under US copyright law and ‘Fair Dealing” under Canadian copyright law. To emphasize ownership, a copyright watermark has been added to the lower right of the image.)
