Currently reading this book
The characters on the cover are pretty odd, especially the faces. Here is a close crop:
The are some good stories in the book though. The book is likely out of print, since my copy was published in 1971. I like Game by Donald Barthelme, Your Soldier Unto Death by Michael Walker and The Weapon by Frederic Brown. A quote from Your Soldier Unto Death "The greater part of training an adult human to kill has never been the development of the killer instinct and the killer skills — these are always present, if latent. It has been, rather, the suppression of the array of gentler instincts that have been generated in the course of a normal life: Love, ambition, social instincts and so forth. Getting rid of these is the problem."
