Currently reading this book

The characters on the cover are pretty odd, especially the faces.

The are some good stories in the book though. The book is likely out of print, since my copy was published in 1971.

I like Game by Donald Barthelme, Your Soldier Unto Death by Michael Walker and The Weapon by Frederic Brown.

A quote from Your Soldier Unto Death

"The greater part of training an adult human to kill has never been the development of the killer instinct and the killer skills — these are always present, if latent. It has been, rather, the suppression of the array of gentler instincts that have been generated in the course of a normal life: Love, ambition, social instincts and so forth. Getting rid of these is the problem."

given that they are riding giant eyeballs, i think that the toilet paper head is probably ok. :)

While the giant eyeballs spurting flame is a bit odd, it did not put me off as much as the heads and the skeleton in the lower left corner.
