Thing-A-Day is here again and I have sign up (again). It was a lot of fun (and stress) last year, but it did a lot to make me feel alive. Probably the fact that I was “forced” to do something creative each day helped.

As usual, I spend my day fretting over what I am going to do. Pursue some blind leads and, finally, come up with something (I hope).

Materials:

• candlestick holder
• two slightly used birthday candles
• a tallish and clearish plastic bottle
• the sun

Assembled, they look something like this:

A snail’s shadow:

Cleaned up in GIMP to remove the artefact of the plastic bottle, but as I look at the images, I think the artefact is fine, rather like a slime trail.

It is. It is also incredibly stressful as I think about what I am going to do next. Please check out all the wonderful work other people are doing.
