Thing-A-Day-2010
Wednesday, 03 February 2010 20:12

Every day it is a challenge to come up with something to do.

While I can’t speak for the other participants, my goal is always for something simple, yet visually appealing  - since I think a picture carries more impact than words.

Materials

  • rubber belt from a vacuum cleaner (new)
  • a short piece of yarn
  • some sort of black cap
  • 2 little plastic pebbles

Below, some simple experiments in facial expressions – mostly focussing on the eyes.

Wow, it's amazing how drastic an effect a slight change in positioning can have. This was very creative!

I was very surprised myself. I figured eyes were just eyes, but but even rough proxies can give a lot fo expresion depending on how they are placed.

I remember when my son was in pre-school. His teacher would pass out craft stuff, crayons, papers and odd stuff. Then she told them to have fun. Some wonderful designs came out of ‘not’ having directions given. This post reminded me that.
Great post!

Sometimes a little direction helps. I struggle every day to come up with something to do.
